Russia plans to conduct in-depth research on rapeseed products exported to China, including genetically modified biological ingredients
Foodmate News: Russian Federation beast planting Bureau official website reported on August 20: In the process of implementing the alliance project "Agricultural Products Export", the bureau has greatly improved the organization, coordination and support of domestic grains and their products, including exporting grain products that should meet the requirements of importing countries.
Currently, the Novosibirsk Regional Branch of the Russian Veterinary and Plant Administration is conducting phytosanitary quarantine on grains and their products exported to China to ensure the compliance of export products. Because canola exports to China (over 15,000 tons) accounted for half of exports of agricultural products, so local branch plans to plant area of 40,000 hectares of rapeseed crops and comprehensive monitor quarantine pests in order to prevent biological proliferation, temporarily no signs of harmful organisms have been found to ensure the safety of exported products.
The branch sampling study began in August 2020, part of nutrition oilseed rape plants to confirm that it contains genetically modified ingredients. At present, the bureau has finished sampling and testing one-tenth of the crop area, and no genetically modified ingredients have been found in the crop.
So far in 2020, the Novosibirsk Regional Branch of the Russian Veterinary Plant Administration has signed and issued a total of 402 rapeseed plant quarantine certificates for export to China.
