Russian dry dairy products approved for export to China

 
Foodmate News: Russian media Milknews reported on August 31: Russian agricultural product export center Agroexport stated on Facebook that after negotiations between China and the Russian Federal Veterinary Plant Bureau, China has agreed to import Russian dried dairy products to China, and there will be 5 companies in the near future obtained the export qualification of the product to China.

According to the Milknews, the General Administration of Customs of China will consider adding and expanding the list of Russian dairy products exporters to China in the next two months. At present, 37 Russian dairy products manufacturers have obtained export qualifications to China.

The Russian Agricultural Products Export Center stated that in the next few years, Russian whey powder will occupy the largest share of dairy products exported to China. In 2019, China imported 5.9 billion U.S. dollars of dairy products, of which whey powder imports were 607 million U.S. dollars. From 2020 to 2024, China's whey powder consumption will grow at an annual growth rate of 2.5%, and the import rate will increase to 2.7%.
