Russian Federation beast planting Agency reported on October 22: On October 20, deputy director of the Veterinary Bureau of the Russian Federation and director of import and Export Food Safety Bureau, General Administration of Customs of China held a video conference.
The Russian side emphasized that due to the epidemic of COVID-19 in 2020, Russia has increased its control of animal-derived products exported to China. Regarding China’s proposal that Qingdao Port has detected the COVID-19 gene on the packages of fish products imported from Russia, Russia has provided China with certification materials confirming that none of the Russian crew members are infected with the coronavirus. At present, the Shandong Provincial Government, where Qingdao Port is located, has conducted research on Russian fish products suspected of having COVID-19. The Russian side looks forward to a timely response from the Chinese side.
China agrees with the export control mechanism implemented by Russia and hopes that the Russian business community will take the most responsible attitude towards products exported to China.
In addition, China and Russia discussed the issue of the export of Russian meat products to China and the expansion of the list of Russian meat by-products, and communicated on the issue of Russian containers containing poultry products seized at the Chinese border. The Russian side urged China to release the above-mentioned containers according to normal procedures before suspending the export of poultry products to China in certain regions of Russia.
