On November 11, the National Health Commission issued an announcement that 4 novel food additives including red rice starter, citric acid, sucralose, and sodium polyphosphate, have passed the review. In addition, 2 novel food-related products including polyethylene, 2-Propenoic acid, polymer with 1,3-butadiene and ethenylbenzene have passed the review.
