The breeding eggs and breeding poultry mentioned in the announcement refer to poultry and fertilized poultry eggs used to breed young poultry, including chickens, ducks, geese and other breeding poultry birds.
2. Is it necessary to apply for the Entry Animal and Plant Quarantine Permit?
importers should obtain the Entry Animal and Plant Quarantine Permit before signing a trade contract. Each entry quarantine permit only allows one batch of breeding poultry or eggs to be imported from France.
3. What requirements does the GACC have for the overseas breeding farms and hatcheries of French breeding poultry and eggs?
Breeding farms and hatcheries for breeding poultry and eggs exported to China must be approved by the French authorities and are under supervision. The French Ministry of Agriculture and Food provides the list of breeding farms and hatcheries to GACC. It is subject to on-the-spot assessment by the Chinese side, and after passing the registration, it will be registered and announced on the website of the General Administration of Customs. The registration is valid for 5 years.
4. What are the animal disease requirements for French breeding poultry and eggs in China?
Breeding farms and hatcheries exported to China have not occurred the following diseases within 12 months before the export of breeding poultry or eggs: duck viral enteritis, chicken infectious laryngotracheitis, avian infectious bronchitis, infectious bursal disease, Marek's disease, avian leukemia, chicken infectious anemia, fowlpox, duck viral hepatitis, goose parvovirus infection, Pullorum, avian typhoid fever, avian mycoplasma (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synovialis), low pathogenic avian influenza, avian reticuloendothelial proliferation, avian chlamydia, avian viral arthritis, avian spirochetes, Live leukocytosis, avian paratyphoid, avian metapneumovirus disease, avian adenovirus disease group I, gosling plague, avian hepatitis E.
5. What items need to be tested before export?
The items tested for chickens are avian influenza, Newcastle disease, pullorum and avian typhoid fever, avian mycoplasmosis, infectious bursal disease, Marek's disease, avian leukemia, avian metapneumovirus disease, avian adenovirus disease group I; The items tested for ducks are avian influenza, Newcastle disease, duck viral hepatitis, duck viral enteritis, and avian chlamydia; the items tested for geese are avian influenza, goose paramyxovirus, duck viral enteritis, avian chlamydia, and goose small Virus infection; the items tested for other birds are avian influenza, Newcastle disease, avian chlamydia, pullorum and avian typhoid fever, avian mycoplasmosis, and avian infectious bronchitis.
6. What are the requirements for the quarantine certificate?
Breeding poultry or eggs exported to China must pass the French official quarantine and issue a quarantine certificate. The quarantine certificate shall indicate that the breeding poultry or breeding eggs imported to China meet the quarantine and hygiene requirements listed in the Protocol.
