On January 27, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued a notice on preventing the introduction of highly pathogenic avian influenza from Lithuania into China, which required the direct or indirect import of poultry and related products from Lithuania to be prohibited. The Posting or carrying of poultry and their products from Lithuania into the country is prohibited. once found, it will be returned or destroyed. This Announcement shall come into effect as of the date of promulgation.
