Customs inspected 1.49 million imported cold chain food samples and detected 79 nucleic acid positive samples


According to the General Administration of Customs, until February 25, customs across the country had tested 1.49 million imported cold-chain food samples, 79 samples were positive for the new coronavirus nucleic acid, and all other samples tested negative.   

At present, the global epidemic situation is still severe. The General Administration of Customs has conscientiously implemented the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary, increased the quarantine of imported cold chain food, and continued to strengthen the source control of imported cold chain food. At present, 276 video or telephone conferences have been held with 108 countries (regions), 199 cold chain food production enterprises exporting to China from 55 countries (regions) have been checked randomly, and overseas official authorities and food production enterprises have been urged to fulfill their responsibilities. imports of products from some enterprises were suspended in a timely manner to prevent the risk of source pollution. 129 companies registered in China in 21 countries where employees were infected with the new crown pneumonia epidemic have been suspended import measures, and 110 companies have independently suspended exports to China.   

Implement emergency preventive measures against foreign food production companies that have detected positive nucleic acid from the new coronavirus, and have taken emergency preventive measures against 56 food production and business units in 16 countries. Preventive disinfection of imported cold-chain food packaging at ports nationwide has reached 18.98 million pieces.   

The General Administration of Customs has accelerated the cross-departmental sharing of imported cold chain food traceability information, and related data is connected through the national government information resource sharing platform and the national imported cold chain food traceability management platform.
