CFE | Release Approval document (Decision) for Special Food (Update on February 22)

On February 22, the Food evaluation Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation updated the list of approval document (decision) for the registration of infant formula milk powder products, which involved NEWBAZE infant formula goat milk powder (0-6 months old, 1 paragraph), ZhenAiFeiFan infant formula milk powder (0-6 months old, level 1), Tianlaibeibao infant formula milk powder (0-6 months old, level 1) and 37 kinds of infant formula milk powder products.

The Eurasian Economic Union reviews the draft conformity assessment documents required for meat product import declarations

On February 16, 2021, the Eurasian Economic Union conducted a review on the draft conformity assessment documents for meat product import declarations. A product list is approved in the draft and accompanied by a conformity assessment document (details of conformity assessment document) that meets the requirements of the Customs Union’s "Meat and Meat Product Safety Technical Regulations" (TR TS034/2013): raw meat products require The document contains information to confirm safety (veterinary certificate). Crude fat processed products including refined animal fat, blood products, bone processed products, processed products containing raw materials containing collagen only need to provide a conformity statement, and meat products need to include information confirmation in the document Safety (veterinary certificate) company product registration information.

South Korea intends to amend the Food Industry Promotion Law

February 19, 2021, the Korean national legislation Center issued Notice No. 467, which revised the aquatic food production qualification, application name, and traditional food certification provisions in “Food Industry Promotion Law". Part of the revised content is:

(1) Revise the declaration procedures for the aquatic product processing industry;

(2) Relevant provisions for revision of product name application;

(3) Revise procedures and methods for quality certification of aquatic traditional foods. Applicants who require aquatic traditional food quality certification should submit additional materials such as the production, sales performance and variety manufacturing report of the product to the certification body within the last 6 months. After the certification body accepts the application, it must pass the factory audit and product audit to confirm whether the quality is certified.

Australia will renew the export sanitary and phytosanitary certificate

On February 17, 2021, Australia notified the WTO of the draft directive (G/SPS/N/AUS/515) on the renewal of export sanitary and phytosanitary certificates. 
The changes in the plan will not affect the agreed market access certificate, the department’s export supervision or the detailed information of the goods described on the bilaterally agreed certificate.

The renewal certificate will be issued in March 2021, and the renewed plant certificate will be issued on March 15, 2021. There is a short transition period during which the old and new certificates can be presented to border officials for customs clearance.
