Russia imposes a temporary ban on the export of live poultry and poultry products from some European countries and regions

According to the official website, since March 3, the Russian Federal Bureau of Veterinary Plants has imposed a temporary ban on the export of live poultry and poultry products from three regions of the Czech Republic to Russia. The same ban has been implemented.
According to the relevant provisions of the OIE "Terrestrial Animal Health Law", Russia has temporarily banned the import of live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat and their products (except for poultry products that have taken measures to kill the virus), poultry feed and feed additives from the above-mentioned regions (Plant-derived feeds and feed additives, except chemical and microbial compound feeds).
In addition, the transshipment of live poultry from the above areas through Russia has also been restricted.
It is reported that since August 2020, the EU's highly pathogenic avian influenza situation has continued to be in a state of tension, and the current situation is still deteriorating. During the period from January 1 to February 18, 2021, there were 430 bird flu outbreaks in the EU, including 150 wild poultry outbreaks.
