On March 16, 2021, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) announced that it will impose temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and their products near the place where the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak occurred in Poland.

Due to H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak occurred in Vincica County in Lodz Province, New Sur County in Lubska Province, Głubčice County in Opole Province, Chebnica County in Lower Silesian Province, Orshedin County in Warmia-Mazury Province, Ding County, Kalisz County in Greater Poland Province, Kartuzy County in Pomeranian Province and Ropcice-Sendiszów County in Carpathian Province. Singapore will be affected by the outbreak. The import of poultry and its products within 10 kilometers of the area is temporarily restricted. Poultry products that meet the requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for avian influenza virus inactivation and heat treatment will not be affected by import restrictions. 　　

In order to facilitate the customs clearance of other poultry and poultry products, when poultry and products are imported, the attached veterinary health certificate should also include the following additional certifications:

A.Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and H5 and H7 low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) are notifiable diseases in exporting countries. 
B.According to the definition of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), poultry derived from meat are not vaccinated with H5 and H7 subtypes of avian influenza vaccine. 　　
C.Poultry meat and meat products are not derived from poultry near the highly pathogenic avian influenza epidemic area in Poland. 　　
D. Poultry derived from meat were born, raised and slaughtered in Poland, or day-old chicks legally imported from a country with the same poultry health status.
