South Korea Issues Draft Partial Amendments to the "Imported Food Safety Management Special Law Implementation Rules"
On March 25, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of South Korea issued a draft of some amendments to the "imported Food Safety Management Special Act Implementation Rules" to strengthen the safety management of imported food and reduce the burden on operators.
The main contents include: submission of certificates and documents for registration of overseas production enterprises; mandatory submission of animal product export sanitation certificates; increase of fines for imported food produced by OEMs without sanitation inspection; relaxation of the sanitation training cycle for operators and staff; The implementation cycle of precision inspections, etc.
