Japan releases the supervision and guidance plan for imported food for fiscal 2021

 
On March 26, 2021, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan issued Notice No. 1 of 0326, announcing the supervision and guidance plan for imported food for fiscal 2021.

The imported products involved mainly include: food, food additives, utensils, containers and packaging, toys, etc. The plan pointed out that in fiscal 2021, about 100,000 monitoring inspections will be conducted on livestock food and its products, aquatic products and its products, agricultural products and its products. The main items of monitoring and inspection include: pesticide and veterinary drug residue limits, food additives, pathogenic microorganisms, product composition specifications, etc.

The implementation time of the plan is from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
