Australia updates plant-derived food and beverage import requirements
On April 20, 2021, the Australian Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources Environment updated some plant- derived foods and beverages import requirements, which changed "Fruit and vegetable juice, vegetable oil and other plant-derived food and beverages for human consumption" to "fruit and vegetable juice, frozen pulp, fruit puree or jam, vegetable oil and plant-derived food and beverage." In addition, "fruit and vegetable juice" has also been renamed and expanded to include "frozen fruit pulp, fruit and vegetable puree or fruit and vegetable sauce for human consumption."
The above changes will take effect from April 20, 2021.
