On May 4, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of South Korea issued a partial amendment to the "Special Implementation Order of imported Food Safety Management". This amendment is for the smooth implementation of the "HACCP certification system" for imported food.

The main content of this amendment is to entrust the following businesses to the Certification Institute of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety:

1. Analysis of the hazard factors of each process and variety.

2. Investigation and evaluation of "whether HACCP standards are complied with".

3. "HACCP certification" related business for overseas production enterprises.
