Mongolia revises national standards for natural mineral water
On April 27, 2021, the Mongolian Standards and Metrology Bureau issued Announcement No. 244 to solicit opinions on the draft national standard for natural mineral water. The main contents of the draft include:
1. Classification and definition of natural mineral water (non-aerated, aerated and aerated natural mineral water);
2. Requirements for the physical, chemical and sensory properties of the product;
3. Sanitary requirements, characteristic indicators, product safety and sanitation standards, testing items and methods for the transportation of raw water and product production processes;
4. Finished product packaging, shelf life and labeling requirements, etc.
This standard is intended to apply to natural mineral water products that are domestically or imported and circulated and sold in the domestic market of Mongolia.
The feedback period ends on May 11, 2021.
