Mongolia plans to formulate standards for edible cereals and grain flour

 
On June 4, 2021, the Mongolian Bureau of Standards and Metrology issued Announcements No. 299 and 298 to formulate standards for edible cereal and grain flours.

(1) The main content of the edible cereals standard includes: sensory evaluation indicators (shape, color, smell, etc.), physical and chemical properties (moisture, ash, protein, etc.), safety and health indicators (heavy metals, molds, aflatoxins, radioactivity, pests, etc.), quality indicator measurement methods, packaging and labeling requirements, general principles of grain storage;

(2) The main content of the edible grain flour standard includes: the scope of application (applicable to the production, packaging, labeling, inspection, acceptance, storage and transportation of flour made from grains), the terms and definitions of various flours, and sensory evaluation indicators ( Color, smell, taste, etc.), the physical and chemical properties of grain flour (moisture, ash, protein, particle size, metal impurities, etc.), safety and health indicators (molds, intestinal pathogens, radioactivity, pests), quality and health indicators detection methods, packaging, label, storage requirements.

The feedback period for the above announcements ends on June 18, 2021.
