The European Union approves a kind of L-threonine as a feed additive
According to the Official Journal of the European Union, On June 16, 2021, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No. 2021/969, according to the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003, the approval of L-threonine as a feed additive for all animals.
According to regulations, this L-threonine is produced by the fermentation of Escherichia coli CGMCC 13325. According to the conditions specified in the annex, the category of this additive authorized as an animal additive is "nutrition additives", and the functional group is "amino acids, amino acid salts and their analogs." The authorization end date is July 7, 2031. This regulation shall take effect on the twentieth day from the date of promulgation.
