Thailand publishes guidelines for specific controlled foods and food analysis

 
On December 27, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand issued the "Specific Controlled Food and Food Analysis Guidelines", which stipulated 9 quality standards. The main contents are as follows:

(1) Registered foods or specific controlled foods should have a food label license and meet the quality or standards specified in the food registration application. Such foods include beverages, milk, flavored milk, fermented milk, dairy products, Ice cream, dietary supplements and royal jelly products;

(2) The quality or standard analysis result report must be the original not more than 1 year from the date of the analysis report to the date of submission of the claim; the analysis result report must at least state the product name, container type, the name and address of the manufacturer, the name and address of the importer, and the production model; must have the specified complete and detailed information, at least in accordance with the specific controlled food and food quality inspection guidelines for analysis;

(3) If the analysis of Escherichia coli is found to be less than 3MPN (the maximum possible number of coliform bacteria), it can be regarded as not found;

(4) According to the quality or standard of plastic containers announced by the Ministry of Health, an inspection report should be submitted for the quality or standard of plastic containers. Since there may be other substances contaminated by food, analysis should be carried out according to the conditions of use and the type of packaging.
