On March 30, 2022, the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued No.Std/sp-05/T (Nutraceutical-2022) [E-5184], and issued the 2022 "Health Products, Nutritional Supplements, Special Dietary Foods, Foods for Special Medical Purposes, and Foods Containing Prebiotics and Probiotics Regulations”, replacing the 2016 “Regulations on Health Products, Nutritional Supplements, Foods for Special Dietary Use, Foods for Special Medical Purposes, Functional Foods, and Novel Foods" and its amendments. The main contents of the new regulations are: (1) The scope of application and product categories and definitions of the regulations are formulated; (2) No one shall manufacture, package, sell, import or distribute in any other way related products that do not meet the requirements of this regulation. ; (3) The specifications, raw materials, additives, quality requirements and labels of the products to which the regulations apply. The regulation will take effect from April 1, 2022.

        2022年3月30日，印度食品安全标准局（FSSAI）发布No.Std/sp-05/T（Nutraceutical-2022）[E-5184]号文，发布2022年《保健品、营养补充品、特殊膳食用食品、特殊医疗用途食品以及含益生元和益生菌的食品条例》，取代了2016年的《保健品、营养补充品、特殊膳食用食品、特殊医学用途食品、功能性食品和新型食品法规》及其修订内容。新的条例主要内容为：（1）制定了该条例的适用范围和产品类别以及定义；（2）任何人不得制造、包装、销售、进口或以其他任何方式分销不符合本条例要求的相关产品；（3）对适用该条例的产品的规格、原料、添加剂、质量要求和标签等内容做出了规定。该条例自2022年4月1日起实施。
