5.In addition to the general Chinese labeling requirements, are there any other regulations that should be paid special attention to?
A
Article 30 of the “Measures for the Administration of imported and Exported Food Safety” stipulates that for imported fresh and frozen meat products, the inner and outer packaging shall have strong, clear, and easily identifiable Chinese and English or Chinese and exporting country (region) characters, indicating the following content : Country (region) of origin, product name, registration number of manufacturer, production batch number; specifications, origin (specific to state/province/city), destination, production date, shelf life, storage temperature, etc. should be indicated in Chinese on the outer package , the destination must be marked as the People's Republic of China, and the official inspection and quarantine mark of the exporting country (region) must be added.

For imported aquatic products, there should be firm, clear and easily identifiable  Chinese and English or Chinese and exporting country (region) characters on the inner and outer packaging, indicating the following: trade name and scientific name, specifications, production date, batch number, shelf life and storage conditions, production method (seawater fishing area, freshwater fishing country or region, aquaculture), production area (marine fishing area, freshwater fishing country or region, country or region where aquaculture products are located), all production and processing involved enterprises name(including fishing vessels, processing ship, transport ship, independent cold storage), registration number and address (specific to the state/province/city), the destination must be marked as the People's Republic of China.

The Chinese labels of imported health food and food for special dietary use must be printed on the smallest sales package and must not be affixed.

Article 15 of "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Registration of Overseas Production Enterprises of imported Food", when a registered enterprise exports food to China, it shall mark the registration number in China or the country (region) where it is located on the inner and outer packaging of the food. Registration number approved by the competent authority (Note: This requirement applies to food products exported to China produced from January 1, 2022).

6. Can other characters be used at the same time on the Chinese labels of imported prepackaged foods?
A
Pinyin or minority characters can be used at the same time, and the pinyin shall not be larger than the corresponding Chinese characters. Foreign languages can also be used at the same time, but should have a corresponding relationship with Chinese (except for the trademark, the manufacturer and address of the imported food, the name and address of the foreign distributor, and the website). All foreign languages shall not be larger than the corresponding Chinese characters (except trademarks).

7. If the package of a sales unit contains food of different varieties and multiple independent packages that can be sold separately, how should the label be marked?
A
When the package of a sales unit contains food of different varieties and multiple independent packages that can be sold separately, and the food label of each independent package shall be marked separately. 

If the outer package is easy to open for identification or the inner package (container) can clearly identify all or part of the mandatory labeling content on the inner package (container), the corresponding content may not be repeated on the outer package; otherwise, all mandatory labeling contents should be marked on the outer packaging as required.

8. When the sales unit contains several individually packaged foods with the production date and shelf life marked, how should the production date and shelf life be marked on the outer packaging?
A
You can choose one of the following three ways to indicate: 

a. the production date indicates the production date of the earliest single piece of food produced, and the shelf life is marked according to the shelf life of the earliest expired single piece of food; 

b. the production date indicates the date when the outer packaging formed the sales unit, the shelf life is marked according to the shelf life of the earliest expired single piece of food; 

c. mark the production date and shelf life of each single piece of food on the outer packaging.
