US launches FDA Foodborne Outbreak Response Improvement Plan

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that responding faster to foodborne disease outbreaks and revealing root causes is critical to prevent future outbreaks, launching the "New Era of Smarter Food Safety: The Foodborne Outbreak Response Improvement Plan."  Foodborne illness in the United States remains a major public health problem, the file is described in the FDA Food-borne Outbreak Response Improvement Plan(FORIP) by the FDA to improve the speed of the outbreak investigation, effectiveness, coordination and communication and the important steps, unless otherwise specified, the report focuses on response to the human food rather than the animal food.
