On 26 April 2022, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) issued announcement No. 0107131 on its website, proposing to develop a definition and classification of coconut milk products.  Main contents include:

(1) The definition of coconut milk : refers to the coconut pulp through water extraction and diluted to appropriate plant fat content (content skim of coconut milk fat minimum 5%, content of fat in coconut milk minimum 10%) for emulsion, stabilizer emulsifier and other food additives are allowed but should not be directly supplied to consumption by consumers;  

(2) The commodity classification number of coconut milk products is 2106. 

 The announcement is open for comments until May 16, 2022.
