Thailand has issued two national standards for food and cosmetics

On May 5, 2022, the Ministry of Industry of Thailand issued the announcement No. 0026 and No. 0086 through the 123rd Government Gazette of 2022, releasing two national standards for food and cosmetics.  Specific respectively :

(1) Cosmetics heavy metal pollutants content determination method (standard no. TIS.3304-2564), suitable for cosmetics chromium, cobalt, nickel, arsenic, cadmium, antimony and other six heavy metal content determination, the method used is inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP/MS); 
 
(2) Natural Mineral Water (Standard No. TIS.2208-2564), mainly including definition and classification (aerated, aerated mineral water and other three types of products), water source requirements, sensory and quality indicators, packaging and labeling requirements, sampling and testing methods, etc.  The above two standards will come into effect 120 days after the official announcement.
