The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products near the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in Canada.
Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 km of affected areas due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in four areas in Canada. Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.
Poultry exported from the affected areas below will continue to be accepted for import if they meet the slaughter and export dates.
