The EAEU Council has approved the standard list of for the technical regulations on alcohol products, which may be adopted on a voluntary basis to ensure compliance with the technical regulations.  
   
The list includes 149 standards: 63 intercountry standards (GOST) and 86 national standards of member countries. The standards mainly cover product research rules and methods, including 680 documents on sampling methodology.  
   
The regulation will come into force on June 18, 2022, while the technical regulation on alcoholic products will come into force on January 1, 2024. Therefore, manufacturers and importers of alcoholic beverages and conformity assessment bodies will have about one year and a half to prepare and determine the scope of product certification.
