At the EAEC's recently Advisory Committee on the Application of Technical Regulatory, Sanitary, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Measures, participants discussed the revision of a number of technical regulations and standards.
The meeting approved amendments to the Union's Technical Regulations on food additives, fragrances and processing aids and also updated the list of standards cited in the technical regulations on poultry products; Approved the revision of the plan for the formulation of technical regulations and standards for toys, perfumes and cosmetics; Reviewed the changed contents of the comparison test procedure between laboratories, such as the comparison procedure and the requirement of the comparison results; Supported the creation of pilot projects to ensure regional measurement consistency .
In addition, some hot issues in the application of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary measures were also discussed, such as the clarification of veterinary requirements for non-edible fish ingredients.
