FSANZ sought comment on β-amylase from genetically modified bacillus licheniformis as a processing aid

On 2 August 2022, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued Notice No. 210-22, in which Application No. A1220 sought comments on the use of a beta-amylase as a processing aid.
 
According to the notice, the β-amylase was produced by transgenic bacillus licheniformis and was intended for use in starch processing for the production of malt syrup. The deadline for comments is 6pm (Canberra time) on 13 September 2022.

2022年8月2日,澳新食品标准局(FSANZ)发布210-22号通知,其中A1220号申请,就一种β-淀粉酶(Beta-amylase)作为加工助剂进行意见征求。
 
据通知,该β-淀粉酶是由转基因地衣芽孢杆菌生产的,拟用于生产麦芽糖浆的淀粉加工中。意见征求截止日期为2022年9月13日下午6点(堪培拉时间)。
