According to the study by the University of Antioquia(Universidad de Antioquia), the ministry of health of Columbia on August 1 announced a requirement for a special identification of high sugar, high salt, high calories, high fat, high sodium content, and "ultra processed food" packaging.

El Colombiano reported that in 2021, the Colombian congress approved the Junk Food Act, following which the Colombian Ministry of Health’s required that all processed foods containing high sugar, high salt, high calories, higt fat, high sodium levels and "ultra processed foods" containing five or more industrial agents to add special signs to the package in order to warn the consumers of the high levels of unhealthy ingredients in the food. At first, the logo was tentatively shaped round. And recently, the University of Antioquia decided the best shape, color and notes of the logo according to their research.

Studies have shown that the octagonals are considered to be the most attractive form of attention, and can maximize the impression of "the food is unhealthy". The color of the logo should be pure black, because black is also the most helpful to attract consumer attention, and to maximize consumers' awareness of the food's unhealthy problems.

In the text of the identity, the study showed that all logos should be accompanied by the words of the "EXCESO EN"(excess content) to remind people of the high level of unhealthy content in people's food.

Above all, the logo should be a black octagonal marking the expression "EXCESO EN" , and the logo should be located on the top right of the packaging in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health also said that companies that have ancient round marks on their products will have six months to change.
