On August 10, 2022, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a notice on food safety testing.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency monitors chemical and microbiological hazard levels and developed risk management strategies. When a violation is found, CFIA will take appropriate action, including notification to the manufacturer or importer, further targeted sampling or product seizure, recall, etc.
This food safety monitoring bulletin includes four parts: Bisphenol A and bisphenol A substitutes in specific foods (2016-2017), Undeclared allergens and gluten in sauces and salad dressings (2020-2021), the Annual report of the Children's Food Program (2020), and the Annual report of the National Chemical Residue Monitoring Program and Chemical Food Safety Oversight Program (2018-2019) .
