Brazil authorizes the use of food additives and technical aids in food categories

Brazil's Official Gazette, 17 August 2022. On 9 August, the Ministry of Health issued resolution RDCN740, which authorizes the use of food additives and technical aids in various food categories. The main contents include:

(1) Food additives approved for use in fermented alcoholic beverages (other than wine and beer), sugars and oils;

(2) Regulation approval of D-α-tocopherol, tocopherol concentrated mixture, DL-α-tocopherol, rosemary extract as antioxidants;

(3) Set magnesium sulfate as additive requirements;

(4) The technical aids listed in Annex VI of the resolution.
