On August 22, 2022, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS) released the guidelines for the safety management of imported food hygiene indicators, aiming to improve the management of microorganisms in imported foods. The main contents are:
(1) Microbial status analysis of imported foods customs clearance;
(2) Health management of overseas production sites;
(3) Health management of main manufacturing processes;
(4) imported foods clearance procedures management;
(5) Microbiological standards for imported foods.
