On September 2, 2022, the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology issued a number of draft revisions to food standards. Among them, "Egg and its products" standard revision content are as below:
(1) Newly added microbial index that Campylobacter jejuni should not be detected;
(2) Mandatory product batch number shall be added to the label. The revised content in the standard of Bottled Water is:
(1) Changed the pH value of original purified water from 5.5-7.5 to 5.5-8.5;
(2) The limit of nitrate in original purified water was revised from 1.5mg/L to 3.5mg/L.
At the same time, a number of microbial detection methods including Bacillus cereus, Campylobacter, Escherichia coli, coliform bacteria and colony count in food were revised and updated according to ISO standards.
The comment period for the above draft standards ends on September 16, 2022.
