South Korea issued a partial revision list of Labeling Standards for Food, Etc., to set new labeling methods for spices

On September 6, the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2022-66 to revise part of the Labeling Standards for Food, Etc. The main contents are as follows:

 

1. Specified the exemption conditions of the outer wrapping paper labeling of packaged products sold online.

2. According to the new composition specifications of diacetyl tartaric acid ester of mono(di)glycerides (DATEM), added the name of food additives, etc.

 

3. As the Food Additives Code integrates natural flavors and synthetic flavors into "flavors", new labeling methods are set for flavors.
