South Korea has released a draft for partial revision of the Import Ban Areas for Designated Quarantine Objects

On September 7, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK) issued Notice No. 2022-352, which proposes to amend part of the import Ban Areas for Designated Quarantine Objects. The main contents are as follows:

 

1. import of poultry, newborn chicks, seed eggs, flying birds other than poultry and wild flying birds from Poland, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Belgium and Germany is permitted.

 

2. import of pork from Germany, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia is allowed.

 

3. import of fresh, refrigerated and frozen poultry meat from Poland, France, the Netherlands, Hungary and Belgium is allowed.

 

4. The import of heat-treated poultry meat from Belgium is permitted.

 

5. import of edible eggs from Poland, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Belgium and Germany is allowed.

 

The above submissions will be accepted until September 18, 2022.
