Singapore has suspended imports of poultry and products from parts of the United Kingdom affected by bird flu outbreaks

On 7 September 2022, the Singapore Food Agency(SFA) announced that it has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and their products from the United Kingdom near the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).

 

Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and their products within 10 km of the affected areas due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in three areas of the United Kingdom. Poultry products heat-treated to meet the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) requirements for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.

 

Poultry exported from the affected areas below will continue to be accepted for import if they meet the slaughter and export dates below.
