On September 7, 2022, the EPA issued Regulation 2022-19294 exempting Thymol from the residue limit, according to the Federal Register.

According to the regulations, thymol is exempt from residue limits in or on all foods when used in accordance with good agricultural practices.

This provision is effective from September 7, 2022, and an objection or request for a hearing needs to be filed by November 7, 2022
