On April 16, the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) issued Announcement No. 36 of 2023, announcing that the import of French dairy products meeting relevant requirements will be allowed from the same day. For the purpose of this announcement, the term "feed dairy products" refers to the feed dairy products made from raw milk or by-products (whey, buttermilk, buttermilk, colostrum, etc.) which contain vegetable ingredients, vitamin premixes, probiotics and other raw and auxiliary ingredients approved for use under Chinese and French laws, and the feed dairy products made from raw milk or auxiliary products which do not contain the above raw and auxiliary ingredients. French producers exporting forage dairy products to China shall be recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of France to the General Administration of Customs of China for registration in China.
At the same time, the announcement also detailed the import requirements, including the requirements of manufacturers, raw material requirements, product requirements, entry inspection and quarantine requirements.
