Singapore issued Amendment to Food Safety Regulations 2023

On April 18, 2023, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) issued the Amendment to 2023 Food Safety Regulation. The main revisions are:


(1) Foods containing Class IV preservatives are not allowed to be imported, produced, and sold, except for liquid eggs and their products, cheese, canned food, etc.;


(2) Revising the definition of fungicides, etc.;


(3) Revise the scope and definition of some products in the veterinary drug residue limit standard, including crustaceans, ruminants, etc.;


(4) Formulate the maximum residue limits of 6α-methylprednisolone and other veterinary drugs in some foods.


This amendment will come into force on April 28, 2023.
