South Korea is recalling avocados from Peru that contain excessive agricultural residue

On April 26, the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) ordered a company to stop selling and recall avocado with excessive amounts of chlorfenapyr from Peruvian company ANAY FRUITS SAC.

 

The product contained 0.03 mg/kg chlorfenapyr. The standard for chlorfenapyr in such products in Korea should not exceed 0.01 mg/kg.

 

Subject to recall: avocados imported from Peru by a South Korean company (year of production: 2023).
