On 5 October 2023, the Department of Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health of Thailand issued an announcement to revise the standards for the use of food additives. The main content is to revise the scope of use and maximum dosage of various food additives such as acesulfame potassium in some food products, some of which are shown in the table below. The amendment has been reviewed by the Food Safety Committee and will enter into force after publication in the Government Gazette, with a transition period of 2 years.
