On December 21, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued a draft revision of the "Implementation Rules of the Special Law on import Food Safety Management", which is mainly as follows:

1. Develop specific procedures for import health assessment of animal food.

2. Expand the planned import of fast customs clearance objects, including raw materials for the production of export food as the planned import of fast customs clearance objects.

3. Shorten the time of precision inspection in the customs clearance stage of livestock products.

The call for comments is open until January 31, 2024.
