EU amended MRLs for nicotine in certain products

On 6 February 2024, according to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), the Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2024/451 on 5 February amending the maximum residue levels (MRLs) for nicotine in certain products laid down in Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The Regulation entered into force on the 20th day after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union; it is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. The main revised limits are listed below:
