3 infant formulas recalled in US after failing to comply with FDA formula regulations

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA ), on May 25, 2024, the U.S. FDA issued a recall notice stating that Dairy Manufacturers Inc. is recalling three infant formulas because the products do not comply with FDA's infant formula regulations. Information on the recalled products is below:

The recalled products are named Crecelac Infant 0-12; Farmalac 0-12; and Farmalac 0-12 Low lactose, with UPC codes 8 50042 40847 6; 8 50042 40841 4; and 8 50042 40839 1, respectively, weighing 12.4 ounces, and have a shelf life through 2025 August and September. The product is only available in retail stores in Texas.

 

No illnesses have been reported in connection with it. The FDA recommends that consumers should stop using the recalled products and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Parents and caregivers of infants who have used these products and are concerned about their child's health should contact their healthcare provider.
