Singapore approved 16 kinds of insect food for sale, containing crickets, grasshoppers, bees, locusts

According to Singapore's "Lianhe Zaobao" reported on the 8th, the Singapore Food Authority approved 16 kinds of evaluated insect food for sale on the same day, including crickets, silkworm chrysalis, grasshoppers and so on. Owners of pre-packaged insect food products are required to indicate the presence of insect ingredients on their products to help consumers make consumer decisions. Misrepresentation of food ingredients or contravention of the Act is punishable by a fine of up to S$5,000 (approximately Rs 27,000) for a first offense. Repeat offenders can be fined up to S$10,000 (approximately RMB 53,800) or imprisoned for up to three months, or both.
