China Beverage Industry Association (CBIA) announced on August 6 that according to the provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, the review agency organized experts to apply for three substances such as  Arabinoxylan as new food raw materials, and four substances such as hydroxytyrosol as new food additives. The application for "Polymers of 2, 2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol with terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, isophthalic acid, 1,2-propanediol, Dimer acid, hydrogenated, 1,6-hexanediol and trimethylolpropane" was reviewed and approved as a safety assessment material for new varieties of food-related products.
