September 6, 2024, Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) - On September 5, the European Commission issued Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2403 establishing import tariffs applicable from September 6, 2024 on certain types of brown rice. The main elements are:

(1) The import duty on brown rice belonging to CN code 1006 20 (with the exception of hulled basmati rice of the varieties referred to in Article 2(1) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2835(4)) is EUR 42.50 per tonne.

(2) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/840 is hereby repealed.

(3) This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Regulation is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
