The State Administration of Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) recently approved the release of the mandatory national standard GB44917-2024 "Hygienic Requirements for the Transport of Edible Vegetable Oils in Bulk", which will be formally implemented on February 1, 2025. The standard defines the terms for the transport of edible vegetable oils in bulk and specifies the basic requirements for bulk transport containers, cleaning, maintenance and management, transport operations, records and other sanitary requirements.
Edible vegetable oil bulk transport containers should be special containers for food, and the words "cooking oil special" or "food special" should be clearly marked in a prominent position outside the container, and the inside and outside of the container should be clean and hygienic. Non-food containers should not transport edible vegetable oils. Container liquid bags used for bulk transport of edible vegetable oil are single-use containers and should not be reused. It should be ensured that the transport container does not leak, does not leak, edible vegetable oil is not contaminated, and is easy to load and unload and transport.
At the same time, according to this national standard, in one of the following cases, the residue in the container should be cleaned first, and the container should be wiped and cleaned - after the transportation of a variety of edible vegetable oil, and then the transportation of another variety of edible vegetable oil. After the transportation of low-grade edible vegetable oil, the same variety of high-grade edible vegetable oil is transported.
At the same time, according to national standards, edible vegetable oil loading, transportation, unloading and other links should be recorded. The record content should be complete, true and effective to meet the quality traceability requirements. The relevant records shall be kept for not less than 2 years after the end of transportation.
