On December 4, 2024, the Japan Food Safety Commission (JFSC) issued two public notices seeking comments on the draft results of the food safety impact assessment (FSIA) of Propamocarb and Prallethrin, both of which are due on January 2, 2025, respectively.

After the risk assessment experiments, the JFSC proposed to set the Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) for Propamocarb at 0.12mg/kg body weight per day (bw/day) and the Acute Reference Dose (ARfD) at 0.2mg/kg bw; and the ADI for Prallethrin was proposed to be set at 0.025mg/kg bw.
