On September 22, Russian Federation Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) released the news that Russia and China have signed the protocol, which reached an agreement on the provision of beef to China.

Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized: "The signing of this document is an important and long-awaited measure that opens up prospects for building mutually beneficial and most effective economic and trade relations between the two countries."

Producers wishing to export beef to China must obtain registration with the General Administration of Customs of China. The list of registered Russian companies will be published on the official websites of the relevant departments of the two countries.

At present, two Russian companies have the right to export frozen and chilled beef and a series of by-products to China.
