On December 29, 2021, the US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for an unknown number of imported meat and poultry products from China. FSIS did not request a recall because it was unable to identify and contact the importer. The total number of non-conforming products has not been determined because the investigation is ongoing.

The packaging of the 43 products are not marked with a qualified production number, nor is it submitted to FSIS for import re-inspection. These products are not eligible to be imported into the United States and therefore are not suitable for consumption.
